2016 WORLD ORPHANS DAY: BENEFICIARIES OF
CASH GRANT AWARDS

(1) Ademola Daniel

The state of an Orphan is not a desirable one. When a young man becomes his own parent and provider, much worries and concerns are at bay for such a person. Perhaps there are those who are able to go about their lives unfettered by such concerns, many are the afflictions of orphans in this period of economic meltdown. For those like Daniel & I, our fate is to face the world as orphans, chasing through long years the shadows of vanished parents.

DANIEL is an SS3 Salau Abiola Secondary School student who daily worry about his partially paralised dad and basking in the euphoria of the death of his mum a long time ago. To him, life is all about worries, struggle and concerns.

The boy manages a rented room with his immobile father who could not do much for himself not to talk of doing something for his ambitious son.  DANIEL is into radio repair works, as a short-time job,to assist his father fend for daily needs.

He wishes to become an Engineer later in life even though he does not study any of the sciences in school presently. As we look forward to celebrating his eventual success in life, could not ignore the travails that he manages on daily basis.

We visited DANIEL and his dad and we left them happier than we met them.We presented our proverbial widow's mite because they are Nice people that deserve Nice things.

(2) Emmanuel Asade

Orphans are the only ones who get to choose their fathers, and they get to love them twice as much. If EMMANUEL would be given such opportunity, he would wisely choose men on the corridors of power who can afford cars worth well over 35million naira.

These men have little or no problems or maybe, money is the least of their worries. However, money is a BIG deal to Emmanuel who suffers on daily basis to not only move around but to finance his mobility.

Emmanuel suffers from partial paralyses too with the aid of a walking stick and yet, each step taken takes a miracle. Undetered and resilient about the possibility of a better tomorrow, he is currently a student at FCE Abeokuta.

He is obviously incapacitated and in dire need of financial assistance. He requetsed for guidance which we have willingly agreed to consistently offer but Emmanuel needs more finance than we were able to offer today. HE WAS INDEED VERY HAPPY.
