Speaking at the Lantern House Mentorship Banquet held on Friday June 10th, 2016, AYODELE DANIEL DADA (UNILAG 5.00CGPA Record Breaker) asserts that young people believe in Instant Gratification. According to him: " You can't succeed that way. Instant gratification is what makes many people cheat because you are only thinking of NOW. Let me just pass now and to hell with tomorrow. But then, you pass NOW, how do you then defend that grade you got now? Ok, you would have to cheat again tomorrow and it creates a cycle of cheating because you just want to gratify yourself in the immediate now and in the present. That is a mistake. You cannot succeed in the long term that way because cheating is only a stop-gap measure, a palliative. It does not fix a problem. It just conceals deficiency. You don't get ahead that way.
You cannot cheat and succeed. It is something you must always have in mind.
